Roberto Duro Sanchez

Bio

I am Roberto Duro Sanchez, a Physical Education Teacher graduated from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. I am originally from Madrid, Spain. After studying my first year of university in Spain, I decided to come to the United States to combine my two passions: teaching and soccer. After three years living this amazing experience in William Woods University, I am ready to take the following step and give back to the society the best version of myself, and teaching is the channel to do that. Enthusiasm, passion for teaching, hard working ethic, and caring, are some of the main core values that I follow at the time of being an educator.

Education

Prior to coming to the United States, I lived in Madrid, Spain. There I received most of my education, until I started university. I studied the first year of Exercise Science at University of Castilla La Mancha in Toledo, Spain. After that year I moved to Fulton, Missouri, in order to continue my education at William Woods University. Living in both countries has allowed me to have perceptions of urban and rural education, as well as understanding two different cultures, and acquiring proficiency in both languages English and Spanish. At this moment, I am finishing the Master of Education - Secondary Education (Physical Education Specialist) at the Autonomous University of Madrid, with the intention of acquiring valuable teaching skills that can be displayed throughout my teaching career.

Volunteer

Volunteer work has always been an important part of my life. Offering a certain service to the community with the purpose of generating happiness, learning, recreation, or meeting basic needs without expecting nothing in exchange, is in everyone’s hands, and helps building a society in which generosity, kindness, and empathy become principles to follow among it’s people.
